
Neema Harold – Country Director – Tanzania
Neema Harold is the Women Leading Change Director and Country Director at Sasamani Foundation Tanzania, with over 10 years of leadership experience in advancing gender equality through education, leadership development, and community-based programs. She previously served as a Project Coordinator with Bagamoyo Girls Education Association under CVM/APA, where she contributed to the design and implementation of programs that improved access to girls' education and economic opportunities for youth in general. In 2012, she began her engagement with Sasamani Foundation as a member of the Tanzania Board of Directors. Neema now directs the Sasamani Foundation Tanzania and leads the Women Leading Change (WLC) training programs across Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda. In this role, she works closely with partners and participants to strengthen leadership capacity and expand opportunities for women and girls. She is also building her coaching expertise to better support learning and personal development. She is deeply committed to sustainable community economic development and the empowerment of women and girls, focusing on creating access to education, leadership, and economic opportunities that enable women and girls to reach their full potential.

Marcy Doozan - Executive Director – US
Marcy has been a nonprofit leader for over twenty-five years, including thirteen years as Executive Director of one of the most prominent zoo conservation organizations in the State of Indiana. Throughout her career she has served several mission-based nonprofit organizations with health and human services, education, animal welfare and conservation-based missions. Marcy has spent the last six years serving international NGOs in Thailand and East Africa in the areas of animal rescue and rehabilitation, wildlife conservation, One Health, education, women’s empowerment and environmental restoration. She has served the Sasamani Foundation in the role of Executive Director since September 2024. Marcy holds a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural and Natural Resources Communications from Michigan State University and a certificate in Nonprofit Management from the Mendoza College of Business at Notre Dame University. She has traveled extensively in East and South Africa on conservation-based trips igniting a passion for conservation, youth education and women’s empowerment in Africa.

Gladness Kulola – Education Director – Tanzania
Gladness Kulola is a dedicated social worker, education advocate, and emerging leadership coach with several years of experience in community-based programs. Throughout her career, she has focused on bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world opportunity, supporting initiatives that equip underserved students—particularly girls—with the mentorship, careers awareness, and resilience needed to thrive. She is deeply passionate about The Sasamani Foundation because its holistic approach mirrors her own commitment to intentional support systems; by integrating her growing coaching skills into Sasamani’s education and leadership programs, she empowers young people to move beyond their socio-economic backgrounds. She is driven to build a future where every student is not only educated but transformed into a confident, self-aware agent of change ready to lead their community with impact.

Secilia John - Education Program Coordinator - Tanzania
Since 2023, Secilia John has served as the Education Program Coordinator at the Sasamani Foundation, while also leading as the Tech4All Director. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies from the University of Dar es Salaam in 2019. Secilia is passionate about creating opportunities for students with limited access to resources, equipping them with the tools, skills, and confidence needed to thrive. Through her work in education and digital learning, she is committed to empowering young people to unlock their potential and pursue meaningful paths for their future. Her guiding belief, “Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can,” reflects her approach to growth, resilience, and impact.
